Social distancing - a term that will not be forgotten and the year of 2020 with COVID-19. Stay-at-home mandates and no gatherings of more than 10 people are what we are having to deal with right now. My thanks go out to everyone who is fighting on the front lines of COVID-19, including nurses, doctors, critical care professionals, emergency response professionals, and so many more! But I also thank those individuals who are deemed "essential" in order to make sure our critical infrastructure is maintained operational.
But now more than ever, we also must make time for ourselves and our own sanity. I am teleworking, as my job can easily be done remotely. I do miss my evening at some of my favorite cigar bars around the country, though. Instead, I have regained the use of my deck (it is springtime after all), and am trying to enjoy most evenings out there. So what have I enjoyed so far since starting this WFH process?
This is My Father's Le Bijou - always an enjoyable smoke and definitely on my top 10 list of ones to enjoy!
A new one for me, but from another favorite line of cigars - La Aroma de Cuba - this is the Edicion Especial. I'd read a great review on it and couldn't wait to try it. It definitely delivered!
Drew Estates makes some fantastic cigars. I know I have only tried just a few, but this is another go-to - the Undercrown Maduro.
This is the Perdomo Barrel Aged 20th anniversary, paired with a Counoise from Alexandria Nicole Cellars in Prosser, WA. Sorry that the photo is not oriented correctly, but I couldn't get it turned right for this image...besides it does fit nicely here :-)
And lastly, we must all continue to find the beauty and serenity around us every day. This is from a walk in my neighborhood, where I practice social distancing as often as I can!
Everyone - please be safe and healthy. Be sure to check back here in the next couple months when I am able to travel once more!
